hello All! I have joined the choir blog and discovered I'm about a year late. Ah well. I'm up for reuniting in July. Tuesdays work well, and wed after seven, and thurs I work til 8 so that might be out. My house can def be used for practice at some stage, though maria's is just slightly roomier. I like the casio!

Aah but let us not forget the Casio Clause.  Perhaps my house? It's the same amount of time on the DART from town as it is to walk to Niamh's from town so it's not really THAT far out... plus, a piano.

Don't get me wrong, I do love the Casio, but I feel like I'm not being true to my roots.  It's all a little bit fusion, and I'm a real purist at heart.

cantaireacht is the Irish for chant? That might be a good one...however, if we are thinking of coming up in google searches quickly, etc., it might be a good idea to put some keywords in there! Business, business!
Aha! I didn't even know that we had a blog! I am absolutely up for getting together again - I'm pretty easy (ho ho) about times, except that I work on Saturdays, but apart from that, I should be able to make it! Also, my flat, while tiny, is available for practice any time! Should we call a time and date now? Perhaps Tuesday at half 6 at mine? What say ye?

Back in Action

Ok girls, it's time to get the music and and the voices warmed up as the time soon approaches for our reuniting! I propose that we begin choir once again in July... any suggestions for day/time?? Looking forward to it now. Oh also venues are needed. Perhaps we can rotate from house to house each week? Go Choir Go!

Firstly though I propose a get together to discuss all these things... perhaps with some beverages and food. You're all welcome to come over to my new adopted house beside the wooden bridge!

Uh

Okayokayokay

RTÉ postponement has taken (some of) the pressure off to find a delectable, fitting and APPROPRIATE name for the choir (Máiréad, take note- anything ending in "M.C." isn't going to monopolise the summer wedding market). But like Glenn Frey sez, the heat is on!

So... y'know.. . get the finger out.

19th April 2008

Choir's first performance is to be filmed by RTÉ.

The choir will be performing two pieces (Suantraí ár Slánaitheora and In Dulci Jubilo) on Saturday 19th April at 7.30pm mass in St. Mary's Church, Knockainey, Co. Limerick. We will be accompanying the parish choir with a few other pieces also.

Following the performance we will be going to Scobys or Jack Lynches... two famous pubs of the area.
